Welcome to ZMZ Publication. These Terms & Conditions explain the rules, responsibilities, limitations, payment terms, publishing process, printing terms, author responsibilities, royalty terms, refund terms, and legal conditions for using our book publishing services.

By contacting ZMZ Publication, submitting your manuscript, sending your poetry/story/book idea, making payment, approving a book preview, ordering author copies, or using any service/package offered by ZMZ Publication, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before choosing any package.

1. Official Publishing Package Structure

The final service scope for any author will be based on the package selected and confirmed in writing.

Package conditions:

  • Free author copies are applicable only for books up to 150 pages unless clearly agreed in writing.
  • Free author copies are paperback with perfect binding, standard paper, and standard cover unless a different format is written in the package confirmation.
  • Hardbinding is not included in free author copies and is chargeable separately unless clearly mentioned in writing.
  • If the book exceeds 150 pages, extra printing charges may apply for every free author copy and additional author copy.
  • Courier, delivery, premium paper, colour pages, special lamination, special trim size, urgent printing, and custom illustration work may be charged separately.
  • Package names, package features, free author-copy quantity, royalty model, listing channels, and prices may be updated by ZMZ Publication. The author will follow the package terms confirmed in writing at the time of payment/approval.
2. 90% Net Royalty Concept +
  • For packages where 90% net royalty is promised, the author receives 90% of the positive net amount actually received by ZMZ Publication after deducting applicable costs and charges.
  • Net amount may be calculated after deducting platform charges, printing cost, packaging cost, shipping/courier cost, taxes/GST, payment gateway charges, returns, cancellations, discounts, distribution charges, service charges, or any other direct selling expense.
  • Royalty is payable only on actual confirmed book sales where sale revenue is received and cleared. No royalty is payable on unpaid, cancelled, refunded, returned, replacement, promotional, sample, gift, or author-copy orders.
  • Author copies purchased by the author or provided free under a package are not royalty sales and do not generate royalty.
  • Example royalty concept: If MRP is ₹299, print cost is ₹90, distribution/other direct sale cost is ₹80, then net base is ₹129. Author royalty at 90% of ₹129 is ₹116.10. This is only an example; actual royalty depends on real sale channel deductions.
  • If the net amount is zero or negative after deductions, royalty will be zero for that sale.
  • Royalty payout may be monthly or as per ZMZ Publication payout cycle, subject to minimum payout threshold, available sales reports, received payment, correct author bank details, and third-party settlement timelines.
  • ZMZ Publication may retain the remaining 10% of positive net amount as service/administrative/distribution support margin where 90% net royalty applies.
3. Author Agreement PDF Workflow +
  • The website agreement form generates an author-signed PDF based on the details and signature uploaded by the author.
  • After ZMZ Publication receives the author-signed PDF, ZMZ Publication may add its logo, signature, seal/stamp, authorised signatory details, or internal approval note and send the final copy to the author by email.
  • The author should reply with “YES” to the email containing the final signed/stamped agreement to confirm acceptance and final acknowledgement.
  • The author agrees that digital confirmation through email, WhatsApp, uploaded signature, checkbox acceptance, or PDF submission may be treated as written acceptance for operational purposes.

The terms below are based on the existing ZMZ Publication Terms & Conditions document shared by ZMZ Publication, with package and royalty clarification added in this updated version.

5. About ZMZ Publication +
  • ZMZ Publication provides book publishing support services, including but not limited to manuscript formatting, book interior design, cover design support, ISBN allocation support, paperback support, hardcover support, eBook/soft copy support, listing support, promotional support, author copy support, royalty support, and guidance for new authors.
  • ZMZ Publication works as a publishing support service provider. Some services may be completed directly by ZMZ Publication, while some services such as printing, binding, delivery, courier, online listing, or print-on-demand fulfilment may be completed through third-party vendors, platforms, printers, delivery partners, or service providers.
6. Service Packages +
  • ZMZ Publication may offer different publishing support packages, including but not limited to:
  • Package details may vary depending on the author’s book type, page count, language, manuscript condition, format, printing requirement, delivery location, and selected services.
  • The final service scope will be based on the written package details shared with the author through website, WhatsApp, email, invoice, proposal, or official communication.
7. General Package Conditions +
  • All package prices are starting support prices unless clearly mentioned otherwise.
  • Package fees may cover only the services listed in that specific package. Any extra service not mentioned in the selected package may be chargeable separately.
  • Extra charges may apply for:
  • Additional pages beyond package limit
  • Heavy editing or rewriting
  • Typing from unclear handwriting
  • Poor-quality scanned pages or photos
  • Additional cover design changes
  • Additional interior design changes
  • Extra ISBN format support
  • Author copies
  • Printing charges
  • Courier or delivery charges
  • Urgent delivery
  • Extra promotional posts
  • Premium design work
  • Colour printing
  • Hardcover printing
  • Large-size books
  • Image-heavy books
  • Custom illustrations
  • Rework after author approval
  • Any service not clearly included in the selected package
8. Author’s Responsibility +
  • The author is fully responsible for the manuscript, story, poetry, book idea, images, photographs, quotes, references, data, names, claims, facts, religious content, political content, social content, personal experiences, third-party material, and all content submitted to ZMZ Publication.
  • The author confirms that:
  • The submitted content is original or legally permitted for use.
  • The author has the right to publish the content.
  • The content does not violate copyright, trademark, privacy rights, publicity rights, or any third-party rights.
  • The content does not contain illegal, defamatory, misleading, plagiarised, hateful, harmful, or unlawful material.
  • The author has permission for all images, quotes, brand names, real names, personal stories, or copyrighted material used in the book.
  • The author will be responsible for any legal claim, objection, dispute, notice, copyright complaint, defamation claim, or third-party complaint related to the book content.
  • ZMZ Publication is not responsible for verifying the legal ownership, originality, truth, accuracy, or lawfulness of every part of the manuscript unless a separate legal review service is specifically agreed in writing.
9. Copyright Ownership +
  • The author remains the copyright owner of the original manuscript/content provided by the author unless a separate written copyright assignment agreement is signed.
  • ZMZ Publication does not automatically claim ownership of the author’s original literary work.
  • By submitting the manuscript, the author gives ZMZ Publication permission to use, format, design, edit, process, print, publish, list, promote, store, and distribute the book only for the purpose of providing the selected publishing services.
  • Cover designs, interior designs, formatting templates, promotional designs, and creative layouts prepared by ZMZ Publication may remain the service/design work of ZMZ Publication unless full design ownership transfer is separately agreed in writing.
  • The author may use the final approved book files only as per the package terms. Raw design files, editable design files, Canva files, InDesign files, Photoshop files, source files, fonts, templates, and working files are not included unless specifically mentioned in writing.
10. Manuscript Submission +
  • Authors may submit manuscripts in formats such as:
  • Word file
  • PDF file
  • Typed document
  • Notebook pages
  • Diary writing
  • Hard copy pages
  • Scanned pages
  • Clear photos of handwritten pages
  • Mobile notes
  • Voice notes or online story discussion, if included in package
  • The author must ensure that handwritten or scanned content is readable. If the content is unclear, incomplete, damaged, or difficult to understand, ZMZ Publication may ask for clearer copies or may charge extra for additional typing, correction, or interpretation work.
  • ZMZ Publication is not responsible for mistakes caused by unclear handwriting, poor photo quality, missing pages, wrong page order, incomplete manuscript, or unclear author instructions.
11. Story Idea / Voice Discussion Packages +
  • For packages where the author shares a story idea through online call, WhatsApp voice note, phone call, or video meeting, the author must provide the original story idea, character details, theme, message, events, and required direction.
  • ZMZ Publication will help convert the idea into a structured manuscript based on the author’s explanation.
  • The final story quality, depth, length, and style depend on the clarity and completeness of the information provided by the author.
  • If the author later changes the complete story direction, characters, ending, genre, or theme after manuscript preparation has started, additional charges may apply.
12. Editing Limitations +
  • Basic editing support may include simple grammar correction, spelling correction, readability improvement, paragraph arrangement, and basic language polishing.
  • Basic editing does not include:
  • Complete rewriting
  • Professional developmental editing
  • Fact-checking
  • Legal review
  • Academic verification
  • Research verification
  • Deep language restructuring
  • Translation
  • Proofreading by multiple editors
  • Plagiarism certification
  • Copyright clearance
  • Sensitivity review
  • Complete ghostwriting unless included in package
  • For advanced editing or rewriting, separate charges may apply.
13. Book Design and Formatting +
  • ZMZ Publication may provide book interior design, page formatting, cover design support, title page setup, copyright page setup, dedication page setup, acknowledgement page setup, author bio page setup, contents page setup, and other design elements depending on the selected package.
  • The author must carefully check the preview before approval.
  • After the author approves the final preview, any mistake, spelling error, design issue, formatting change, missing page, wrong name, wrong title, wrong ISBN, wrong price, wrong author bio, or content correction requested later may be chargeable.
  • Approval by the author means the author has checked and accepted the book content, design, layout, title, author name, pages, cover, back cover, spine, ISBN details, and other book details.
14. Cover Design Terms +
  • Cover design is based on the author’s idea, book theme, available materials, package level, and design feasibility.
  • The author must provide clear instructions for cover concept, title, subtitle, author name, language, theme, and any required image/photo.
  • ZMZ Publication may reject or avoid using poor-quality, copyrighted, unclear, offensive, unlawful, or unusable images.
  • If the author provides any image, artwork, photo, logo, or design element, the author confirms that they have the legal right to use it.
15. ISBN Support +
  • ISBN allocation support may be provided depending on the selected package and eligibility.
  • ISBN support does not guarantee automatic approval by any government agency, database, platform, or authority if required information/documents are incomplete, incorrect, or rejected.
  • A separate ISBN may be needed for different formats such as paperback, hardcover, and eBook.
  • Once an ISBN is assigned to a specific title, format, edition, author name, or book detail, changes may not be possible or may require a new ISBN.
  • The author must provide correct book title, subtitle, author name, format, language, and other details before ISBN allocation.
  • ZMZ Publication is not responsible for delay, rejection, correction, or issue caused by wrong author details, wrong title, document mismatch, government portal delay, third-party technical issue, or incomplete information.
16. Publishing and Listing Support +
  • ZMZ Publication may provide listing support on selected supported platforms such as:
  • Pothi.com
  • Google Books
  • ZMZ Publication Book Store Website
  • Any other platform specifically agreed in writing
  • Listing approval, listing time, visibility, ranking, search appearance, sales, reviews, delivery, availability, or platform performance is not fully controlled by ZMZ Publication.
  • Any third-party platform may change its rules, approval process, pricing, display, listing status, commission, content policy, or availability at any time.
  • ZMZ Publication does not guarantee book sales, ranking, bestseller status, fixed income, fixed number of orders, or permanent listing visibility.
17. Print-on-Demand and Third-Party Printing +
  • ZMZ Publication may use third-party printers, print-on-demand vendors, binding vendors, courier partners, packaging partners, or fulfilment partners for printing and delivery.
  • Because printing and delivery may be handled by third-party vendors, ZMZ Publication is not responsible for every issue that happens during third-party production, binding, packaging, courier, transport, or delivery.
  • Possible print and production differences may include:
  • Slight colour variation
  • Slight paper shade difference
  • Minor cutting variation
  • Minor binding variation
  • Minor lamination variation
  • Minor alignment difference
  • Slight margin difference
  • Slight cover brightness difference
  • Minor spine shift
  • Minor printing shade difference between batches
  • These small production differences are normal in print-on-demand and batch printing and will not be treated as a defect unless the book is materially unusable.
18. Printing Damage and Delivery Damage +
  • If a book is damaged due to third-party printing, binding, courier handling, transport, moisture, packaging damage, mishandling, or delivery partner error, ZMZ Publication will try to support the author/customer where practically possible, but replacement, refund, or reprint will depend on the third-party vendor’s policy, proof of damage, and case-by-case approval.
  • The author/customer must provide:
  • Clear unboxing video
  • Clear photos of damage
  • Order details
  • Delivery proof
  • Complaint within the required time limit
  • Complaints about damaged printed copies must be reported within 24 hours of delivery. Late complaints may not be accepted.
  • ZMZ Publication is not responsible for damage caused after delivery, including water damage, tearing, mishandling, improper storage, bending, sunlight damage, or any damage after the book is received.
19. Author Copies +
  • Author copies may be included only in packages where author copies are clearly mentioned.
  • For example, the ₹1999 Poetry Premium Package may include either:
  • Option 1: 10 paperback author copies up to 150 pagesOROption 2: 5 hardcover author copies up to 100 pages
  • The author must select one option before printing.
  • If page count exceeds the package limit, extra printing charges may apply.
  • Courier or delivery charges may be extra unless clearly included in writing.
  • Author copy production time may vary depending on printing vendor, binding type, quantity, paper availability, courier service, location, festival season, technical issue, or third-party delay.
20. Printing Approval +
  • Printing will start only after the author approves the final print file/design.
  • Once printing starts, cancellation, refund, or free correction may not be possible.
  • If any mistake is found after author approval and printing has started, reprinting charges will be paid by the author unless the mistake is clearly caused by ZMZ Publication after final approval.
21. Payment Terms +
  • Payment terms may vary depending on the package.
  • For preview-first offers, ZMZ Publication may prepare an initial preview before collecting the basic package payment. However, final files, ISBN process, publishing process, listing process, printing, and delivery may start only after required payment is completed.
  • For other packages, advance payment or full payment may be required before work starts.
  • Any extra work beyond the package must be paid separately.
  • Payment confirms that the author has selected the package and agrees to the package scope and these Terms & Conditions.
22. Refund Policy +
  • Because publishing work involves creative service, design time, editing time, formatting time, manuscript preparation, communication, administrative work, and third-party expenses, refunds are limited.
  • Refund may not be available after:
  • Design work has started
  • Manuscript formatting has started
  • Editing has started
  • ISBN process has started
  • Cover design has started
  • Final files have been prepared
  • Listing process has started
  • Printing has started
  • Author has approved preview
  • Third-party vendor charges have been paid
  • Custom work has been delivered
  • If ZMZ Publication is unable to start the service at all after receiving payment, the company may offer refund, partial refund, service credit, or alternate solution depending on the case.
  • Payment gateway charges, transaction charges, third-party charges, design work already completed, and administrative charges may be deducted from any approved refund.
23. Cancellation Policy +
  • The author may request cancellation before work starts.
  • If work has already started, cancellation may not qualify for full refund.
  • If the author delays response, does not provide required material, does not approve files, or remains inactive for a long period, the project may be paused.
  • If the author returns later, extra charges may apply depending on the work stage and required changes.
24. Delivery Timeline +
  • All timelines are estimated and not guaranteed unless specifically agreed in writing.
  • Delays may happen due to:
  • Late author response
  • Incomplete manuscript
  • Unclear handwriting
  • Pending payment
  • Pending approval
  • ISBN delay
  • Listing platform delay
  • Third-party printer delay
  • Courier delay
  • Festival/holiday delay
  • Technical issue
  • Power/internet/server issue
  • Force majeure event
  • Natural calamity
  • Government restrictions
  • Any event beyond ZMZ Publication’s reasonable control
  • ZMZ Publication will try to complete work on time, but will not be liable for losses due to reasonable or third-party delays.
25. Royalty Terms +
  • Net royalty means the amount received after deducting applicable costs, platform charges, printing cost, packaging cost, shipping/courier charges, taxes, payment gateway charges, discounts, returns, cancellations, service charges, and any other direct selling expenses.
  • Royalty is payable only when actual sale revenue is received and confirmed.
  • Royalty payout may be monthly if the payable amount reaches the minimum payout limit decided by ZMZ Publication.
  • If the book has no sales, no royalty will be payable.
  • Sales reports may depend on third-party platform reports, order records, website orders, and actual received payments.
  • ZMZ Publication is not responsible for royalty delay caused by third-party platform settlement delay, payment gateway delay, bank issue, refund, cancellation, return, or incorrect author bank details.
26. Sales Tracking +
  • Basic sales tracking may be provided as per package.
  • Basic sales tracking does not mean live real-time dashboard unless specifically provided.
  • Sales reports may include available order/sales information from supported channels.
  • ZMZ Publication does not guarantee sales, fixed income, fixed number of readers, reviews, ratings, or market success.
27. Promotional Posts +
  • Packages may include promotional posts if specifically mentioned.
  • Promotional posts may be shared on ZMZ Publication’s social media pages, website, or other selected channels.
  • Promotional support does not guarantee sales, followers, reach, engagement, likes, comments, shares, or book orders.
  • The design, caption, timing, and format of promotional posts will be decided by ZMZ Publication unless separately agreed.
28. E-Certificate +
  • A free e-certificate may be provided if included in the selected package.
  • The certificate is a recognition/support certificate from ZMZ Publication and should not be treated as a government certificate, academic certificate, legal certificate, copyright certificate, or sales guarantee.
29. No Sales Guarantee +
  • ZMZ Publication helps with publishing support, design, listing, formatting, and guidance.
  • ZMZ Publication does not guarantee:
  • Book sales
  • Bestseller status
  • Profit
  • Reviews
  • Media coverage
  • Viral promotion
  • Awards
  • Government recognition
  • School/college/library adoption
  • Fixed monthly royalty
  • Search ranking
  • Permanent platform visibility
  • Book sales depend on content quality, author promotion, reader interest, pricing, marketing, genre, demand, book cover, description, platform visibility, and market conditions.
30. Content Rejection Rights +
  • ZMZ Publication reserves the right to refuse, pause, cancel, or reject any project if the content appears to be illegal, plagiarised, hateful, defamatory, misleading, harmful, copied, offensive, fake, fraudulent, rights-infringing, or against company policy.
  • ZMZ Publication may also refuse content that creates legal risk, reputation risk, technical difficulty, printing difficulty, or platform rejection risk.
31. Plagiarism and Copyright Claims +
  • The author is fully responsible for plagiarism and copyright claims.
  • If any third party claims that the book content, title, cover, image, quote, story, poem, photo, or design element violates their rights, the author must handle the claim and protect ZMZ Publication from any loss, cost, penalty, legal notice, platform takedown, or dispute.
  • ZMZ Publication may remove, pause, delist, or stop support for any book if a copyright, plagiarism, or legal complaint is received.
32. Defamation and Personal Story Responsibility +
  • If the author writes about real people, real incidents, family members, companies, institutions, government bodies, communities, public figures, or private individuals, the author is responsible for legal consequences.
  • ZMZ Publication does not verify whether personal stories, allegations, incidents, facts, or claims are true.
  • The author should take legal advice before publishing sensitive, personal, controversial, or allegation-based content.
33. Use of Names, Photos, and Personal Data in Books +
  • If the author provides names, photos, personal information, family details, school/college names, company names, or real-life details, the author confirms that they have permission to publish them.
  • ZMZ Publication is not responsible for privacy complaints caused by author-provided content.
34. Minor Authors +
  • If the author is below 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must provide approval and communication for the publishing process.
  • ZMZ Publication may request guardian consent, identity proof, or written confirmation before accepting the project.
35. Data Privacy +
  • ZMZ Publication may collect author information such as name, phone number, email, address, manuscript, photos, payment details, book details, and communication records only for publishing, printing, communication, delivery, royalty, listing, legal compliance, and service purposes.
  • ZMZ Publication will not intentionally sell author manuscripts or personal data to unrelated third parties.
  • Author data may be shared with third-party vendors only when required for publishing, printing, delivery, payment, listing, legal compliance, or service completion.
36. Communication +
  • Official communication may happen through WhatsApp, email, phone call, website form, or other written channels.
  • Authors should provide correct contact details.
  • ZMZ Publication is not responsible for delay caused by wrong phone number, wrong email, inactive WhatsApp, missed calls, or delayed response from the author.
37. Project Hold / Inactive Author +
  • If the author does not respond for more than 30 days, the project may be marked as inactive or on hold.
  • If the author returns after a long gap, ZMZ Publication may continue the project based on availability, old files, package validity, and required changes.
  • Extra charges may apply if major rework is required after long inactivity.
38. File Storage +
  • ZMZ Publication may store project files for a reasonable period, but does not guarantee lifetime storage of manuscripts, design files, print files, or final files.
  • The author should download and safely keep their final files after delivery.
  • ZMZ Publication is not responsible for file loss due to technical issue, device damage, cloud issue, deletion, cyber issue, or long-term inactivity.
39. Final Files +
  • Final files may be shared in PDF or other suitable publishing/printing format.
  • Editable source files are not included unless specifically agreed in writing.
  • The author must not misuse, resell, copy, or distribute ZMZ Publication’s design templates, working files, or creative assets without permission.
40. Pricing Changes +
  • ZMZ Publication may change package prices, service details, printing rates, courier rates, royalty model, platform charges, or package features at any time.
  • Already confirmed paid orders will follow the agreed terms at the time of confirmation, unless a change is required due to third-party cost increase, author-requested changes, or technical/legal reasons.
41. Taxes and Charges +
  • All prices may be subject to applicable taxes, transaction charges, payment gateway charges, courier charges, printing charges, or other charges unless clearly mentioned as included.
42. Third-Party Services +
  • ZMZ Publication may use third-party services for printing, binding, delivery, listing, payment, design tools, hosting, email, cloud storage, communication, or other publishing-related work.
  • ZMZ Publication is not responsible for third-party platform downtime, policy changes, account issues, listing rejection, printing delay, courier delay, payment delay, technical failure, or service interruption.
43. Limitation of Liability +
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, ZMZ Publication’s total liability for any claim related to a package shall be limited to the amount actually paid by the author to ZMZ Publication for that specific package/service.
  • ZMZ Publication shall not be liable for indirect loss, business loss, emotional loss, reputation loss, expected sales loss, lost profit, market failure, third-party claim, platform rejection, courier issue, printing vendor issue, or delay beyond reasonable control.
44. Indemnity +
  • The author agrees to protect, indemnify, and hold harmless ZMZ Publication, its team, partners, vendors, designers, editors, printers, and service providers from any claim, loss, damage, penalty, legal notice, cost, expense, or dispute arising from:
  • Author’s manuscript/content
  • Copyright infringement
  • Plagiarism
  • Defamation
  • False claims
  • Misleading content
  • Privacy violation
  • Use of third-party photos/images
  • Wrong author information
  • Illegal or unlawful content
  • Breach of these Terms & Conditions
45. Force Majeure +
  • ZMZ Publication will not be responsible for delay or failure caused by events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, fire, flood, disease outbreak, strike, printer shutdown, courier disruption, government restriction, internet failure, cyberattack, payment gateway issue, platform downtime, or any other unexpected situation.
46. Dispute Resolution +
  • In case of any dispute, the author should first contact ZMZ Publication through official communication channels.
  • ZMZ Publication will try to resolve complaints in a fair and practical manner.
  • If a dispute cannot be resolved through communication, it may be handled as per applicable Indian laws and jurisdiction decided by ZMZ Publication’s registered business location, unless otherwise required by law.
47. Governing Law +
  • These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of India.
48. Updates to Terms +
  • ZMZ Publication may update these Terms & Conditions at any time.
  • The latest version published on the website will apply to future services and orders.
49. Acceptance +
  • By submitting manuscript, making payment, approving preview, selecting a package, ordering author copies, or continuing with ZMZ Publication’s services, the author confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
